"The best seminar I have ever sat through. Will drive a change to the way we implement SPC."

"A joy to learn from."

"Very clear, easy to follow, very different approach."

"I have used much of the material I learned on my job in just the past 3 months."

Pinnacle Enterprise Group's (Pinnacle) gifted instructors present the application of statistical methods in a stimulating and exciting fashion. Through the use of real experiences as well as examples drawn directly from the participants' companies, they are able to present applications of statistical methods in a context that participants can identify with and understand. With a keen sense of what are typically confusing, misused, and misunderstood concepts, they have developed innovative materials, including the use of animations, to communicate key concepts in ways that are intuitive and easily understood.

Pinnacle

Competition

People

  • Possess Ph.D.s or Masters in Statistics from top universities
  • Possess expertise in the areas they consult in
  • Possess exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Few have earned advanced degrees
  • Little formal education in statistics
  • Few possess remarkable communication skills

Training

  • Emphasis on depth so each method is understood
  • Focus on implementation & application
  • More comprehensive than competition
  • Emphasis on breadth without depth
  • Little assistance with implementation
  • Sacrifices technical validity for simplicity

Materials

  • Graphics developed by a talented multimedia artist with animation for more complex concepts
  • Exciting visual aids to enhance learning
  • Modern and technically accurate
  • Consistent notation in all statistical materials
  • Course guides that can be used for learning and reference
  • Materials lack graphics that offer insights into complex concepts
  • Basic visual aids
  • Outdated and many technical errors
  • Inconsistent notation-inhibits learning
  • Course guides consist of copies of slides

Value

  • No charge unless our clients are fully satisfied
  • Emphasis on customer benefits

Instructors

"Dr. Wachs' teaching approach was exceptionally well suited for this course...Every time students had difficulty understanding a concept, Dr. Wachs was ready with an example to clarify the use of SPC in real engineering applications."

"Steve is an excellent instructor who taught a difficult subject in a way that was easier to understand."

"I thoroughly enjoyed the entire seminar.  Steve taught us DOE methods in a simple and organized framework."

"Dr. Wachs was an outstanding instructor.  She was able to bring to light many real-world examples to aid the teaching process.  I felt her experience was particularly valuable.  I have used much of the material I learned on my job just in the past 3 months."

"Steve is an excellent instructor who went out of his way to make sure you understood the information."

Allise Wachs, Ph.D.

Dr. Wachs has over 20 years of experience in the application of statistical methods to optimize manufacturing processes and product designs and to assess product liability risk.  Her research includes the development of mathematical models to reveal optimal decision sequences.  She is the president of Integral Concepts, Inc. where she assists manufacturers in the application of statistical methods to reduce variation and improve quality and productivity.  Her areas of expertise include designed experimentation, statistical process control, measurement system assessment, reliability analysis, general statistical methods, and stochastic optimization.  She has been an adjunct professor for the Industrial Operations & Engineering department at the University of Michigan.  Dr. Wachs holds B.S. degrees in Mathematics and Statistics, a M.A. degree in Statistics, a M.S. degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Operations Research, all from the University of Michigan.

Steven Wachs

Steven Wachs has a wide range of industry experience in both technical and management positions.  Steve has worked as a statistician and Six Sigma Black Belt at Ford Motor Company where he has extensive experience in the development of statistical models, reliability analysis, designed experimentation, and statistical process control.  Steve is currently a Principal Statistician at Integral Concepts, Inc. where he assists manufacturers in the application of statistical methods to reduce variation and improve quality and productivity.  Steve has a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, a M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, and a M.A. in Applied Statistics from the University of Michigan.
